Since 1998, Yiannis Kotzapanagiotis has been working in the KotzakArt workshop in Greece in Zarkadia Kavala with Painting, Stained Glass and Hagiography.
His works can be found in several homes, clubs, churches, hotels, schools, and public spaces.
He has attended the ABC de PARIS drawing-painting school program.
He has participated in art seminars and more than 80 group and individual exhibitions.
He illustrates books mainly of a visual and environmental nature, but also sets for theatrical performances.
He is a founding member of the Visual Arts association of Kavala "Artattack" with voluntary participation in many visual actions.
Since 2005, a group of his works has been included in the "Greek Handicrafts" collection of Eommech.
In 2018, he published the book "The First Painting Alphabet" in Greek. This book was also published in English in 2024 and is distributed by the American AMAZON. It is a book that spreads the Greek language around the world since it teaches drawing and painting using Greek letters.
In 2023 at the artistic conference of the European BLACK SEA program in Constanta, he presented the 13 steps of making the stained glass window as a member of the International artistic group CREA CENTERS.
He also participates in the European Creative Tourism program of ENERDEKA.
He teaches Painting, Stained Glass - Glassmaking, Hagiography in clubs, schools and artistic groups. In the summer he exhibits his works in art spaces, galleries, shops, etc., and organizes voluntary art workshops mainly in touristic places. He works as a teacher of Stained Glass and Animation at the Lifelong Learning Center of the Culture Department of the Municipality of Drama ¨Georgios Parasidis.
Through summer art exhibitions, his works have traveled to more than 30 countries.
Of course, all this could not be done without the valuable help of his wife and children, who are by his side in every action.
What he tells everyone is that art is a form of immortality. When you make something with your hands, you are reborn every day and unite with the universe!!
